Boston, MA (Jan. 2, 2025) --- The UMass Boston Beacons return to the ice after nearly a month off to take on the Cardinals of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut on January 3rd at 2pm and the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine on January 4th at 4pm. 
 

The Basics 

Beacons: 7-4-0 (Overall), 6-0-0 (Conference) 

Cardinals: 2-6-0 (Overall), 0-4-0 (Conference) 

Polar Bears: 8-0-0 (Overall), 4-0-0 (Conference) 
 

Beacons 

• The Beacons' last game took place on December 7th at the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink where they fell 1-0 to Connecticut College. In that game, Leah Bosch made 37 saves. 

• UMass Boston remains undefeated in conference play (6-0-0) and will take on their next conference opponent on January 10th when they play Salve Regina. Between now and then the Beacons will hit the road to take on Wesleyan University and Bowdoin College. 

• Adriana Crepaldi leads the Beacons in points with 6 on the season.  

• Four different Beacons have scored 3 goals this season – Crepaldi, Katie Wilbert, Emily Hansen, and Lily Hayes. 

Cardinals 

• The Cardinals last game was a 3-0 loss to No. 15 Nazareth College on December 7th. In that game the Cardinals registered 20 shots on goal but were unable to get one past the netminder McKinley Hoff. 

• Aimée Seppenwolde leads the team in points with 5 on the season thanks to 2 goals and 3 assists. 

• Sami Smith and Jenna Guglielmi have split time in net. Smith holds a 3.03 goals-against average and Guglielmi has a 2.72 average and .925% save percentage. 

Polar Bears 

• The Polar Bears of Bowdoin College are ranked no. 2 in the Women's Division III PairWise Rankings and have yet to lose a game this season.  

• Bowdoin College is outscoring opponents 31-5 and have not conceded a goal in their last 4 games. 

• Luna Lu leads the team in points with 9 while Ava Provenzo leads the team in goals with 5 on the season.
