Boston, MA. (Jan. 16, 2025) --- The UMass Boston Beacons return home and host their first NEHC games of the new year when the Soaring Eagles of (RV) Elmira College come to Boston.

Series History 

Friday's game will be the 15th time these two programs have met dating back to 1983. Since Elmira joined the New England Hockey Conference in the 2021-22 season, the Beacons have defeated them once, a 3-2 win on home ice. In their most recent meeting, current sophomores, Jack Mortson and Zander Lizotte found the back of the net while Jude Kurtas found success on the faceoff going 12-7. 

This Season 

• Junior, Jazz Krivtsov leads the team in points (18), goals (9), and assists (9). Krivtsov registered a hat trick vs UMass Dartmouth on January 3rd and has scored multiple goals in three of his 15 games. 

• Sophomore, Jack Mortson sits three points back on Krivtsov with 7 goals and 8 assists on the season for 15 points. 

• The Beacons have had four different players score a shorthanded goal this season (Krivstov, Mortson, Koyle Bankauskas, and Michael Lynch). 

• Defensively, Kevin Sadovski and Jacob Kaminski lead the team with 26 blocked shots. 

• In goal, Tyler Bost has seen most of the action and holds a .910 save percentage on the season.
