Boston, MA --- The UMass Boston men's soccer team have their first home game of the season Saturday, September 7th vs the Plattsburgh State Cardinals at 11am.
Early Season
The Beacs started the season strong winning 2-0 vs Salve Regina to begin the 2024 campaign but dropped their second match to WPI 3-0 on Tuesday.
Eduardo Chirico and Josh DeAlmeida have found the back of the net this year while Luan Cruz and Ryan Lima have both registered assists.
In goal JJ Devine, Andy Ramirez, and Victor Reyes have all seen time with Devine picking up 8 saves in 90 minutes of action split between the two games.
The Cardinals
The cardinals are a perfect 2-0 to start their season and have been firing on all cylinders scoring 11 combined goals in those 2 games. Offensively they have been sharing the wealth, in each game no one scored more than once, putting 5 and 6 different players respectively on the board.
Defensively, in those two games, the Cardinals allowed just one shot on frame which was taken care of by Teddy Healy.

The last time these two teams met, UMass Boston came away with the victory 2-0.
