Plymouth, NH (September 28th, 2024) --- The Beacons fell in three consecutive sets to the Panthers of Plymouth State to begin LEC action.
How it Happened
The Beacons had a slow start to begin the day but started to heat up in the 3rd pushing that set to extra points before falling to the Corsairs. In set 1, the errors proved to be too much to overcome as Plymouth State was hitting at a .452% rate to the Beacons .026% and 7 errors. The Beacons got better as the day progressed and by the third set were hitting at .164% to the Panthers .143%.
Mya Perron led the Beacons in kills with 14 while Toni Guerra picked up 3 more service aces and Addie Blomgren had 3 blocks. Mary Matthews collected 22 digs on the night and Audrey Cofield made 27 assists.
Next Up
The Beacons will look to rebound on Wednesday when they take on Fisher College (Mass.) in non-conference play at 6pm. It will be the Beacons Mental Health Awareness game.
