Boston, MA (Sep. 10) -- The UMass Boston volleyball team is set to host Wentworth Institute of Technology Wednesday night.  

This Season 

Following the UMB Volleyball tournament, the Beacons moved to 4-3. In the final day of the tournament, senior Dylan Wertzberger collected two double doubles – 14 kills in each game and 35 digs between the two matches. 

Wentworth started their season with a perfect 6-0 record, dropping only two sets in those six games and winning the last 15 straight sets. Most recently the Leopards swept Rivier and Vermont State Castleton 3-0. In those two games Abby Maher set a new program-best mark in service aces collecting 12 against the Raiders. 

Series History 

The series history between the Beacons and Leopards is fairly even however, the last time these two teams met was in 2009 when UMass Boston won in straight sets.
