NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - UMass Boston Men's Basketball's season came to a close at the hands of their in-state rivals UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday night. The Corsairs bumped the Beacons from the Little East Conference tournament, dropping them by a final score of 103-83.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After an early
Emanuel Zayas three-pointer cut the UMass Dartmouth lead to one, the Corsairs put together a 9-0 run to take a 13-3 lead in the first four minutes. Another Zayas triple and an outside shot from
Connor Walden helped cut the gap back to six points.Â
With just over six minutes remaining in the first half, the UMass Dartmouth lead grew to 20 points. They entered the halftime break with a 52-29 lead over the Beacons.
Erik Donaldson put down the first basket of the second half while taking a foul from a UMass Dartmouth player, but could not hit the free throw to cut the deficit back to 20.Â
With
Cameron Love and Clayton Mclaren providing points down low and
Anthony Gauthier earning his salt at the free throw line, the Beacons were able to pull within 19 points with 2:25 remaining in the game.Â
The late offensive push from the Beacons was not enough to equal the Corsairs high-powered attack, falling on the road 103-83.

- Zayas finished the game with 17 points, including 5-6 from three-point range, to bring his scoring average to 18.0 on the season
