Boston, MA (Dec. 4, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons host the Thoroughbreds of Skidmore College for two games at the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink. 

The Basics

Beacons 

• The Beacons are coming off a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Jack Mortson scored both goals in the game with Jazz Krivtsov registering both assists. 

• Mortson was named to the NEHC Weekly Honor Roll for his performance. 

• Krivtsov leads the team in points with 11 on the season (5 goals, 6 assists). 

• Tyler Bost holds a .909 save percentage in net. Bost has made over 30 saves in 5 of his 8 games, making 31 saves in each of the Beacon's wins. 

Thoroughbreds 

• The Skidmore College Thoroughbreds are receiving votes in the USCHO.com Division III Men's Ice Hockey Poll, dropping from #12. 

• They have lost their last two games, most recently to Hamilton – who is also receiving votes in the same poll.  

• Danny Magnuson leads the team in points with 9 (2 goals, 7 assists) 

• Zach Lindewirth leads the team in goals with 4. 

• 20 players have registered at least a point this season, with 17 different players scoring a goal for the Thoroughbreds. 

• Joshua Seeley has seen the most time in net holding a 2.48 GAA and .902 save percentage 

History 

• The Beacons' last win over the Thoroughbreds came in the 2021-22 season when they defeated them by a score of 5-0.  The Thoroughbreds are on a 6-game winning streak against the Beacons, with their most recent win taking place last year by a score of 5-1.
