Boston, MA (Nov. 8, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons men's ice hockey team travels to Middletown, Rhode Island to take on Salve Regina to open NEHC season play. Their first game will take place Saturday, November 9th at 7:30pm and their second game of the weekend will be Sunday, November 10th at 3pm. 

The Basics

Seahawks: 1-0-0 (Overall), 0-0-0 (Conference) 

Beacons 

• The Beacons opened their season vs number 8 ranked Curry College, narrowly falling 2-0 with both goals coming in the third period. 

• Tyler Bost got the start in net and ended the game with a .933% save percentage.  

Seahawks 

• The Seahawks opened their season vs Salem State University, coming away with a 6-2 win. 

• Cade Destefani leads the team in goals with 2 while Arvega Hovsepyan leads the team in points with 4 thanks to 1 goal and 3 assists. 

• Cayden Bailey got the start in net and finished the game with 29 saves and a .935% save percentage. 

History 

• The last time these teams met was in 2017, with Salve coming away with the 3-2 win.
