Beacons Come Home with Two Wins

Castleton, VT. (Nov. 2, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons came away with two wins in Vermont, improving to 5-2 in conference play and 3rd place in the LEC standings. 


Game 1 

The Beacons defeated Vermont State Castleton 3 sets to 0 to start the day. UMass Boston started and finished strong. Mikayla Cleary dominated at the net registering 5 blocks. Dylan Wertzberger registered 4 service aces of the Beacons 6 while Mya Perron led the team with points scoring 9.5. 

Game 2 

The Beacons continued their hot start in their second match of the day winning 3-0 over non-conference opponent SUNY Cobleskill. The Beacons led in every statistical category scoring 54 points to Cobleskill's 21 and registering 34 kills to SUNY's 13. Colbie Atlas made three blocks, scoring 4.5 points. Kesmyn Alves led in scoring with 15.5 points – 12 kills.

The Beacons hit the road one last time for the regular season when they visit non-conference opponent, New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire Wednesday, November 6 at 6pm.
