Boston, MA (Nov. 21, 2024) --- The UMass Boston Beacons look to remain unbeaten in NEHC action when they host Vermont State University Castleton for two games. The first game of the weekend series will take place at 4pm on November 22 and the second game of the series will be Saturday, November 23rd with a 1pm puck drop. Both games will be played at the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink. 

The Basics

Spartans: 3-1-1 (Overall), 2-1-1 (Conference) 

Beacons 

• Started their season with two non-conference losses before going on a four-game winning streak.  

• In their 4 conference games the Beacons have outscored their opponents 13-2. 

• 12 different Beacons have found the back of the net so far this season with Jenna Fitzsimons and Katie Wilbert each leading in scoring with 2 goals each, 

• 15 players have registered points on the season with Liz Kramp (1 Goal, 2 Assists) and Fitzsimons (2 Goals, 1 Assist) each having 3 points. 

• Veronika Hadamovsky, Ginny Curello, and Leah Bosch all started in 2 games each. 

Spartans 

• The Spartans are on a two-game winning streak after most recently defeating Albertus Magnus College 2-1 in overtime on November 16th. 

• Moa Carlsson leads the Spartans in points (7) and assists (4) 

• Carlsson, Brooke Noble, and Alex Johnson have all scored 3 goals this season. 

• Gianna McCusker and Victoria Bakopanos have each gotten starts in net with Bakopanos getting 4 of the 5 starts. 

History 

• The Spartans hold the advantage in the last ten meetings 5-3-2, but the Beacons were victorious in their most recent game on January 12, 2024, 2-1. In that game, Allie Reifler scored first, and Jenna Majewski got the game winner on the power play. Leah Bosch made 22 saves for the win – 13 of which came in the 3rd period.
