BOSTON, MA (October 31, 2024) – The UMass Boston women's soccer team will return to the James Cotter Field in Boston, Massachusetts, for the Little East Conference Regular Season finale against the Warriors of Eastern Connecticut State University on Friday, November 1, at 3:30 p.m. Prior to kickoff, UMass Boston Athletics and the women's soccer team will honor the graduating class of 2024-25, as per the everlasting senior-day tradition.

- Historically, the Beacons are 7-25-3 all-time vs the Warriors, with an average of .77 goals per game. The last meeting between the two resulted in a 0-0 draw from Willimantic, Connecticut. The last UMass Boston victory against ECSU came in 2021 when the Beacons won 2-1 on the road. Their most significant margin of victory was a 5-2 onslaught in 2014, with the Beacons winning in Boston. At home against ECSU, the Beacons are 4-12.

- This season, the Beacons are 10-3-5 overall (5-1-1 LEC), with a 4-0-2 record at home. The Beacons' most significant wins came against Plymouth State (8-3), UMass Dartmouth (3-0), and Keene State (4-1). Cumulatively, UMass Boston has outscored opponents 37-26 on an average of 2.06 goals per game with 14.3 shots per game. The goal-keeping duo of Julia Cote (Baldwinville, Mass.) and Isabella O'Connell have shared responsibilities between the pipes this season. Cote is the primary option with 12 games started and played in. Against 124 shots, Cote has registered 51 saves (.761 save percentage) and allowed 16 goals (1.58 goals allowed). In 912 minutes of action, Cote is 7-1-2 with three total shutouts (one solo, two combined). O'Connell, in 10 games played and six starts, has seen 707 minutes of action and is 3-2-3 with a solo shutout and two combined this season. Against 103 shots, she has made 51 saves (.836 SV%) and allowed 10 goals (1.27 GAA). Primary goal scoring for UMass Boston has come from three primary goal scorers: first-year forwards Sofia Schallmo (Norwood, Mass.), Kathryn Brown (Somers, Conn.), and junior forward Andrea Rivera (San Juan, P.R.) lead the team in scoring. Schallmo leads the LEC in goals scored (16) and season points (39), as the true freshman averages three points per game thus far. Her most recent tally came against Western Connecticut on October 19, scoring her second hat-trick of the season and her career in a 3-3 draw against the Wolves. Brown, another freshman scoring threat, has tallied five goals and an assist for 11 season points, her most recent goal against Keene State on October 12. Rivera has six season goals and an assist, her most recent score was against Vermont State University (VTSU) Castleton on October 26 in a 2-1 win. Playmaking has filtered through a core of three first-year midfielders; reigning LEC Rookie of the Week Daniella Celotto (Prospect, Conn.), Devan Booth (Manchester, N.H.), and Lucinda Cotter (North Easton, Mass.), each of them with three assists thus far.
- The Warriors are 6-8-2 (3-2-2 LEC) this season, and average 1.88 goals per game on 12.7 shots. The Warriors have outscored opponents 30-15 this season. Junior forward Katelyn Herbert is the lead goal scorer with seven goals and one assist. Her most recent score came against Framingham State on October 23. The primary goalkeeping option is first-year Alex Ignatowicz. In 14 games played, she has started in 10 appearances, seen 880 minutes of action produced 64 saves against 111 shots (0.91 SV%), and allowed seven goals (0.72 GAA).
