Boston, MA (Oct. 29, 2024) --- The UMass Boston volleyball team hosts the Raiders of Rivier Wednesday night for their Breast Cancer Awareness match. 

The Basics 

• Beacons: 13-8 (Overall), 4-2 (Conference)  

• Raiders: 11-13 (Overall), 6-5 (Conference) 

Beacons 

• The Beacons are currently on a 3-game winning streak. 

• First year libero, Mary Matthews was named LEC Defensive Player of the Week for her performance collecting 46 digs and averaging 6.6 digs/set through the past two matches. 

• Mya Perron leads the Beacons with 184.5 points through 21 matches played. 

• Dylan Wertzberger averages 3.51 points/set and 3.12 kills per set – both best on the team in the respective categories. 

Raiders 

• The Raiders are on a 3-game losing streak and are 1-5 on the road this season. 

• Rivier averages 3.15 service aces, 11.50 digs, 8.81 kills, and 8.05 assists per set. 

• The team is hitting at a .115% rate through their 24 matches. 

• Ali Rivera and Lily Sills have scored over 200 points for their team this season, Rivera (253.5) and Sills (225). 

• Sills also is the team leader in blocks with a total of 47 so far this season. 

History
