BOSTON, MA (October 29, 2024) – The Beacons' women's soccer team will hit the road for a non-conference matchup tomorrow, on Wednesday, October 30
th, against the Bridgewater State University Bears.

- Historically, the Beacons are 9-2-2 against the Bears, with the last meeting resulting in a 1-1 draw in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to the draw, the Beacons won the previous three over the Bears. UMass Boston averages 1.85 goals per game against Bridgewater State and has scored 24 times against the Bears. Their largest margin of victory of Bridgewater State saw the Beacons put up four goals to the Bears' one in 2019.
This Season
- The Beacons are 10-3-4 overall, with a 5-1-1 Little East Conference record this season. The Beacs roll into Wednesday following a 2-1 victory over the Spartans of Vermont State University Castleton. The most significant wins of the season came over Plymouth State (8-3), UMass Dartmouth (3-0), Keene State (4-1), and Curry College (3-2). As a team, the Beacons average 2.18 goals per game compared to opponents' 1.53 GPG. First-year striker Sofia Schallmo (Norwood, Mass.) leads all UMass Boston goal-scorers with 16 goals and seven assists for an LEC-high in goals and season points with 39. Junior netminder Julia Cote (Baldwinville, Mass.) remains the primary option between the posts for the Beacons, starting in all 12 games she's appeared in. Against 124 shots, Cote has recorded 51 saves (.761 save percentage) and allowed 16 goals (1.58 goals-against average). In 912 minutes, she has accrued a 7-1-2 record thus far.
- Overall, the Bears are 9-4-2 with a 5-0-1 record in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). In 15 games, they have tallied 33 goals (2.20 GPG) and have allowed 23 goals (1.53 GAA). The primary offensive threat for BSU remains junior forward Olivia Robarge (Pepperall, Mass.) with 11 goals and three assists in 14 games played. Senior midfielder Sydney Dewhurst (East Bridgewater, Mass.) is also a significant contributor with seven goals and ten assists in 15 games started for the senior. The primary goalkeeper is junior Logan Levesque (Bristol, R.I.) with seven wins in 13 games played – three of which being shutouts against Framingham State (4-0), Salem State (2-0), and Mass Maritime (3-0). In over 450 minutes of action, Levesque has recorded 25 saves and allowed only three goals for a save percentage of .893, and a GAA of 0.60.
