The Beacons' lead was short-lived, however, as the 31st minute saw the equalizer from the foot of Cortland's Katie Cosenza.

UMass Boston's Isabella O'connell, who finished the afternoon with six saves in net, held the Red Dragons at bay for over 30 minutes, keeping the score tied at 1-1 into the 63rd minutes.

The final 27 minutes of the match saw an offensive barrage from Cortland, breaking the tie and eventually stretching their lead to 4-1.
