Nick Palma drove in a run to make it a 6-2 game.
With a 6-4 lead in the third, senior catch
Craig Corliss notched his first home run of the season, a solo shot, to kick off what would be an eight-run inning for UMass Boston. Two walks along with RBI singles from Palma and senior infielder
Gianni Zarrilli Jr. would be sandwiched between the second at-bat of the inning for Corliss who tacked on three more runs with his bases clearing double as the Beacons took full control, 14-4.
Another big inning in the fifth after the Rams scraped across two would see freshman outfielder
Joey Morrison knock in a run on a single, a bases clearing triple from Metzdorf, and another RBI single from Palma to give the Beacons a five-run inning to go ahead by 13 runs.
Freshman outfielder
Ben Cherry's first collegiate hit and run batted in came in the eighth inning with his RBI double while sophomore outfielder
Reed Burkett-Schneider got his first collegiate run batted in as well on a groundout in the same frame as the Beacons cruised to a 21-8 win over Suffolk University.
