#6 Women's Hockey Falls To #3 USM In NEHC Tournament

Beacons' season comes to a close with a 3-1 loss to the Huskies

GORHAM, Maine – The 2022-23 season came to a close for the sixth-seeded Beacons as they were handed a 3-1 loss by the third-seeded Huskies of University of Southern Maine in the New England Hockey Conference Tournament Quarterfinal Round Saturday afternoon at USM Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
A Amanda Crowley goal late in the second period, gave the Huskies the slim one-goal lead heading into the second intermission. Amelia St-Amant then sealed the victory in the third period to advance to the NEHC semi-final round which will be played next Saturday.
 
Saturday's loss marked the final contest for the Beacons three seniors in Addie Budington, Emily Franciszkowicz, and Cailey Kozich.
 
Katie Wilbert had the lone goal for the Beacons which tied the score at 1-1. Wilbert's goal, marked her fourth straight in the last four games.
 
Ana Gustafson and Adriana Crepaldi assisted on the Beacons only goal.
 
Leah Bosch capped off her All-Rookie Team year with 22 saves, 12 of which came in the second stanza.
