UMass Boston (17-10, 5-3 LEC)
UMass Dartmouth (19-6, 8-0 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beacons entered Saturday's semifinal match with an upset mindset. They opened up a quick 3-2 lead behind kills from Dylan Wertzberger and Livia Trindade. The Corsairs jumped out to an 8-4 advantage, but the team from Boston made it close once again, forcing a pair of UMass Dartmouth errors. 8-6 would be as close as the set would be as the hosts went on to win 25-13.

UMass Boston was once again competitive early in the second set. They flipped an early 4-1 deficit into a 5-4 lead thanks to kills by Trindade and Paige Coulson, a 7-5 lead for the Corsairs gave way to a 7-7 tie, and the Beacons even cut a 15-8 deficit to 15-11. The hosts once again closed out well, taking the set 25-13.

In set number three, kills from Coulson, Wertzberger, and Mikayla Cleary knotted up the score at 10-10. That tie was as close as it would get. The Corsairs secured their third and final set win by a 25-13 score identical to the first two.
