BOSTON, Mass. - Leah Bosch's season debut for UMass Boston Women's Ice Hockey was as good as it gets on Saturday. The sophomore goalie turned in 65 minutes of shutout tending, the longest shutout of her young career. The big game earned her the New England Hockey Conference's Goalie of the Week recognition, the league announced on Monday.

The Beacons narrowly stayed out of the loss column thanks to the efforts of Bosch who saved 33 shots en route to a 0-0 tie with Western New England University. The shutout was the second of her career, but the first that took overtime to decide.

Bosch and the Beacons will play another back-to-back this weekend, facing Plymouth State University to open conference play on Friday night and Vermont State University Castleton for a matinee on Saturday.
