WILLIMANTIC, C.T. - UMass Boston Women's Soccer got into a defensive battle on the road at Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon. Ultimately, both defenses shut down the opposition, culminating in a 0-0 draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saturday's match was a physical one, with both teams racking up 11 fouls whistle to whistle. The Beacons thrived on defense, holding the Warriors to just four shots, only two of which were on goal. Unfortunately for the UMass Boston offensive attack, Eastern Connecticut's defense enjoyed the physical play just as much, holding the Beacons to just five shots, only one of which was on goal.
Both goalies stood tall on the few shots they faced, battling to a scoreless tie.
