GORHAM, Maine – A pair of 26-24 wins lifted the University of Southern Maine to a 3-0 Little East Conference win over volleyball Wednesday evening at Hill Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The host Huskies would hand the Beacons one of their toughest losses of the season, as they edged the Beacons by a combined nine points. USM took the opening set 25-20, before slipping past UMB with the two point victories.
McKayla Geraghty led the Beacons with a combined seven kills, and hit .217 on the night.
Amelia Devlin put-up 13 assists, and had one of the Beacons seven aces.
Toni Guerra led UMB with four aces.
Defensively Geraghty put-up 12 digs to register her first double-double of the season.
Ruby Ackerman was also solid in the back row totaling 11 digs.
Katie Rennie posted a pair of solo blocks, to lead UMB at the net.
