Box Score WELLESLEY, Mass. - Facing their second nationally-ranked opponent in the month of the September, the women's soccer had another strong defensive performance, but with three second half goals the 11th ranked Beavers of Babson College handed the Beacons a 3-0 non-conference loss Wednesday evening at MacDowell Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The first half of Wednesday's matchup between the Beacons and the Beavers was a battle of the goalies as
Maria Spylios had four saves on four shots on goal to match two saves on two shots on goal for Babson goalie Morgan Fedosiewich.

The Beavers finally broke through the Beacons' defense in the 57th minute when Jordyn Ferrantino put her first goal of the season into the upper right corner, past the reach of Spylios for the game's opening goal.

All three goals came in quick succession, with the final two coming in the 61st and 63rd minutes. The Beacons could not find an answer on offense as they managed to get off five total shots, three of which were on goal.
