PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The UMass Boston men's tennis team posted a 7-2 Little East Conference (LEC) victory at Rhode Island College Saturday to improve to 4-0 in league play. The Beacons are the lone team in the LEC that has yet to lose the conference match.

The Beacons got out to a 2-1 following doubles play. UMass Boston's No. 1 pairing of seniors
Miguel Beltran (Ashland, Mass.) and
Nandish Shah (Ahmedabad, India) were 8-4 winners over Alex Bourque and Noah Morin, while the Beason No. 2 duo of senior
Alexander Comerchero (Brookline, Mass.) and junior
Pierre-Alexandre Fumat (Noumea, New Caledonia) were 8-1 winners over Josh Brien and Zach Siemmao.
Beltran went on defeat Bourque 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while Shah registered a shutout victory over Brien at No. 2 singles and Fumat blanked Gouin at No. 4 singles. Comerchero notched a pair of 6-2 wins over Morin at No. 3 singles, while junior
Rez Yuspi (Somerville, Mass.) was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Dylan Tashdjian at No. 5 singles.
