NORTON, Mass. – In a match-up of regional powers, it was Wheaton College who earned a 2-0 win over baseball Thursday afternoon Sidell Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lyons would score a lone run in the fourth on a sacrifice bunt, before sealing the victory with a solo home run in the seventh.
UMass Boston was held to just five hits, with
Luke Leavitt recording two hits. Wheaton was held to just four hits on the day.
Thomas Kierce was handed the loss after allowing one run on two hits in 3.1 innings of work. He had four of the Beacons 10 strikeouts.
Zach Begin went 7.2 innings and struck out 12 to improve to 2-1 on the season, while Zach Clesas picked-up his first save after not allowing a hit over the 1.1 innings.
