HOW IT HAPPENED
Darby's second half surge helped the Anchormen erase an early nine-point Beacons lead. RIC would take their first lead around the 13 minute mark. UMB would battle back to hold a one-possession advantage. However with just over six minutes left in regulation, the Anchormen pushed their lead to five following an Ousmane Kourouma lay-up.
RIC would hold-off the Beacons down the final stretch despite the Beacons nearly tying the game in the final second.
Darby led the Anchormen with 22 points on 8-of-24 shooting.
Charles Mitchell (Boston, Mass.) led all players with 30 points on 11-of-21 shooting, which included five three pointers. Mitchell moved into the top-5 in program history as he became just the fifth player to record 1,500 or more career points.
Malik Lorquet (Sharon, Mass.) is now sitting tied for the all-time record in career blocked shots, as he finished with four to go along with nine points and 11 rebounds.
Charlie Mitchell (Boston, Mass.) posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 assists.
