BOSTON, Mass. – A pair of third period goals lifted ninth-ranked Middlebury College to a 3-1 non-conference win over women's hockey Saturday afternoon in the Edward T. Barry Ice Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Katie Wilbert netted the lone goal for the Beacons, which tied the game at 1-1 with less than two minutes to play before the second intermission.
Liz Kramp and
Gabby Shontz assisted one the goal, which was the Beacons first against Middlebury since January 12, 2010.
Avery McInerny scored what would be the game-winner at 8:26 of the frame, while Jenna Letterie sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with two minutes left in regulation. Letterie also had an assist on Middlebury's first goal to lead all players.
Sophia Merageas picked-up the victory after registering 20 stops.
Leah Bosch, who was making her second straight start, finished with 35 stops as she was handed her second loss of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilbert led the Beacons with 10 face-off wins, while Ashley McDonald posted 11 face-off victories to go along with one goal
- All-time the Beacons are 0-10 against Middlebury
- Wilbert's is the first Beacon to score a goal on Middlebury in Boston since the January 20, 2009 6-3 loss
- Both teams finished 0-for-1 on the power-play
- Middlebury finished with a 38-21 advantage in shots on goal
