HOW IT HAPPENED
Just under seven minutes into the game, Wilbert got the Beacons on the scoreboard first on a pass from sophomore forward
Ana Gustafson to give UMass Boston the 1-0 advantage. Less than two minutes later, freshman forward Livia Brehm and senior forward Sofia Scilipoti teamed up on passes to find graduate forward Shana Cote for the game-tying goal.
Both teams would go scoreless in the second period as junior goalie
Victoria Kennedy made 13 saves in net for the Beacons while junior goalie Lily O'Neil stopped six shots for the Rams.
With under 12 minutes left in regulation, Wilbert and senior forward
Cailey Kozich found MacDougall for the game-winning goal as Kennedy stopped all eight shots on net to preserve the 2-1 victory.
