HOW IT HAPPENED

Murphy's two-goals gave the Beacons the crucial win they needed to earn a first round bye in next week's conference tournament. The Beacons will host the winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal match between #3 Castleton University and #6 Keene State College.

Prior to the start of the match, the Beacons honored their program record 14 seniors. Murphy led her senior class with the two goals, while classmates Morgan Palma (Halifax, Mass.), Jackie Turner (Plymouth, Mass.), and Allie Crawford (Kingston, Mass.) each had an assist.

Crawford, became the third Beacon this season to move into the 50-point club for her career, following the assist. The Kingston native joins Grace McGettrick (Marshfield, Mass.) and Murphy as 50-point earners in their standout careers.

Every senior was able to step on to the pitch in Saturday's conference victory, which included senior goalkeepers Caroline Richards (Duxbury, Mass.) and Abby McCulloch (Weymouth, Mass.). Joining their fellow senior members were Grace Oliver, Kelly McNeil, Cal Pitts (Marshfield, Mass.), Dani Anderson (St. Augustin, Fla.), Lindsay Bouscaren (Cambridge, Mass.), and Kenya Wade (Cambridge, Mass.). The Beacons also honored seniors Jahlyla Ocampo and Katie Pasquale, who served as team managers this season.
