Box Score KEENE, N.H. – With an 18 point showing from Ty Nichols, Keene State College downed men's basketball by the final of 85-45 Saturday afternoon at Spaulding Gymnasium in a Little East Conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nichols led the Owls to their first conference win of the year after going 7-for-10 from the field, which included four 3-pointers. Dizel Wright finished second on the team with 13 points, as the Owls shot 48.4% from the field, and 37.0% from distance.
The Beacons only double-figure scorer was senior Kevin Louis-Jean (Hyde Park, Mass.), who had 10 points in the conference loss. The senior forward went 4-for-5 from the field and 2-for-3 at the line. Ty Lee (Boston, Mass.) and Michael Boyd (Malden, Mass.) each recorded a team-high five rebounds, with lee also handing out three assists.
UMass Boston shot just 30.9% from the field and just 25.0% from 3-point range. They also struggled to possess the ball as they were charged with 23 turnovers.
The Owls never trailed in Saturday's contest, and quickly jumped out to a double-digit lead less than six minutes into the affair.
