Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A penalty kick goal by Alexandria Levesque (Methuen, Mass.) with six seconds remaining in regulation, helped to secure women's soccer first conference point of the year, as they tied the Anchorwomen of Rhode Island College by the final of 1-1 Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing since the 28th minute of the first half, the Beacons caught a huge break with Levesque's game-tying goal. The senior's huge goal, gave the Beacons the late momentum as the teams headed into the extra frames. UMass Boston had their share of chances in the first 10 minutes of overtime, but were unable to seal the come-from-behind victory.
With exhaustion taking its toll, the Beacons offense could not muster up a shot in the final 10 minutes of Saturday's conference match. The Anchorwomen had three chances during that stretch but were stopped by Alyssa Fugiel (Easthampton, Mass.) and her defense.
The Beacons trailed RIC for most of the match in possession, but did manage to hold them to the early tally in the first half. Through the first 45 minutes of play, RIC led 12-5 in total shots, while after the break, the two teams played a back-and-forth affair. The Anchorwomen did led the half 13-10 in shots, but the Beacons had two solid opportunities that could not make their way into the back of the net.
Getting the Anchorwomen on the board was Eleni Grammas off of an assist from Chelsea Combs and Stephanie Ricci.
