HOW IT HAPPENED
After jumping out to a six point lead midway through the second half, the Warriors managed to erase the deficit and maintained a very slim lead for the remainder of the contest. Despite the change in momentum, the Beacons led by seniors Michael Campbell (Boston, Mass.) and Quadry Allen (White Castle, La.) came roaring back to make it a one point game with just over two minutes to play.
From there Preston would score seven of ECSU's final nine points to take the victory. Allen and Campbell each dropped in a team-high 19 points. Allen finished shooting 7-for-14 from the field, and was 2-for-2 from distance. Campbell was just as solid as the Boston native went 7-for-15 and 5-for-6 at the charity stripe.
For Preston he went 8-for-13 from the field, 9-for-10 at the stripe. Hugh Lindo had the game's only double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while off the bench Tyrell Arnum finished with 11 points and also had three blocked shots.
