Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – In what started off as a back-and-forth contest, quickly turned into a blowout as UMass Dartmouth outscored the Beacons 44-15 over the final 18 minutes to hand men's basketball a 82-56 Little East Conference loss Wednesday evening in the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Corsairs erupted offensive in the first half behind their 47% shooting from the field, while the Beacons were ice cold as they shot just 21.4%. Jordan Rezendes, who leads the country in scoring led the way for the Corsairs with his 13 points, while Nick Portelance finished with 11 in the opening half.
UMass Boston saw Maurice Magras (Medford, Mass.) score a first half high eight points for the Beacons. After the break, the Beacons still struggled to get anything going, as Dartmouth continued to add to their lead. Rezendes would finish with six more points to cap-off a 19 point showing for the senior All-American.
Dan Powers (Westwood, Mass.) emerged as the Beacons go-to player in the second half with his 11 points, and four rebounds. Off the bench Iser Barnes (Boston, Mass.) combined for seven points to close out Wednesday's contest.
On the night, the Corsairs shot 40.0% from the field, while the Beacons finished shooting 30.9%. Dartmouth held a slim +4 advantage on the glass as they outrebounded the Beacons 49-45.
