Box Score SALEM, Mass. – A pair of second half goals pushed the Vikings of Salem State University to a 3-1 non-conference win over women's soccer Tuesday evening at Alumni Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Looking to build off of their huge overtime win on Saturday, the Beacons got Tuesday's match off to a great start as they struck first in the first 18 minutes.
Natasha Stibor (San Francisco, Calif.) ended the scoreless draw, as she drove home her second goal in the last four matches to make it 1-0. Kate Leavitt (Plymouth, Mass.) earned the assist on the play, as the Beacons controlled the early momentum.
The Beacons would maintain the one goal deficit until the 42nd minute when the Vikings Ashley Leboeuf tied it at 1-1.
After the break, UMass would manage just two shots, while Salem State was able to turn two of their nine shots into goals to secure the non-conference victory.
In goal, senior Kristen Spain (Quincy, Mass.) made her return to the Beacons line-up, and made a combined eight saves. For the Vikings, Melissa Toomey made three stops in the win.
