BOSTON, Mass. – A total team effort earned volleyball a crucial Little East Conference win as they blanked UMass Dartmouth by the final of 3-0 Tuesday evening in the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium on senior day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In their final regular season home match of 2015, the Beacons honored their lone senior in Bri Sousa (Swansea, Mass.) a dominating performance from start to finish. The Beacons pounded out a .347 hitting percentage as they cruised to a 25-15 win in the first, a 25-12 win in the second, and a 25-10 win in the third.
Sousa played a major part in the Beacons one-sided victory as she was nearly perfect finishing the match with seven kills on nine attempts for a .778 hitting percentage. Julia Murphy (Canton, Mass.) was just as red-hot as she finished with 10 kills and hit .500 in the win. Setter Pepper Baker (Tallahassee, Fla.) tallied 18 assists, and finished with a pair of aces. Elizabeth Glavan (Edina, Minn.) led the Beacons defensive effort with her 11 kills, while at the net Murphy squashed the Corsairs offense with a combined four solo blocks and two block assists.
For the Corsairs, Eliza Bowes led the team with four kills, while setter Christina Spinazola finished with nine assists. Briana Perry put-up 12 digs, while Bowes also finished with three aces.
