Box Score CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A total of three goals in a 13-minute span pushed the 24th/21st ranked Engineers of MIT to a 3-0 non-conference win over regionally-ranked men's soccer Wednesday evening at Steinbrenner Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
John Kramer led the Engineers offensive surge as he was responsible for two of the team's three goals. Kareem Itani also found the back of the net and assisted on MIT's first goal of the night.
The two teams played to a scoreless draw through the first 45 minute of Wednesday's match-up. MIT led 4-3 in shots going into the halftime break, but in the second half UMass Boston would hold a 9-6 advantage, but were unfortunately held scoreless.
Estive Sosa (Chelsea, Mass.) made two stops, while MIT's Jake Amereno posted five stops to earn his 10th shutout of the year, and his 11th victory (11-1-1).
Newton Jordao (Minas Gerais, Brazil) led UMass Boston's offense with two shots of the team's five shots on goal. The two teams were even in corner kicks with five each.

UMass Boston will host Keene State College on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Boston College High School. Saturday's contest will also be the annual Game of the Month promotion. Spirit scarves will be handed out during the match, along with a special gift that will be served at the start of the contest.
