UMass Boston men’s soccer standout Ryan Doherty has been named this week’s Beacon of the Week for his stellar production from the defensive midfield position during the team’s final six games of the season.

Doherty either scored or assisted in each of those six matches, including a crucial assist to John Arruda that broke the championship stalemate against Western Connecticut in the Little East Conference Final.

Between October 18 and November 8, he tallied two assists and scored in four consecutive games, highlighted by a hat trick performance in the LEC Semifinal win over Rhode Island College.

His consistency and clutch performances were instrumental in powering the Beacons to their 2025 LEC Championship title and NCAA Tournament berth.
