Graduate forward Mark Barrett (Brookline, Mass.) has been the ace up the Beacons' sleeve all season for the men's basketball team. The big man continues to fill the gaps where the team needs him most, stepping up where the team needs him most when his number is called. In Wednesday's wire-to-wire win against the University of Southern Maine (87-82) of Wednesday (Feb. 5), Barrett's work culminated into one of the most memorable performances this season. He was a monster in the stat sheet, recording a team-high in rebounds (11 - one offensive, 10 defensive), assists (four), blocks (two), and tied two teammates with three steals, all while pouring in an effecient 12 points on 50% (6-12) shooting figures. Barrett's fingerprints have been all over the stat sheets this season for the Beacons. He leads the team in rebounding with 122 in 21 games (5.8 RPG), and blocks (20 in 21 games, 1.0 BPG), while second in the team in assists (68/21 - 3.2 APG), and third on the team in three-point field goals (19 3PM).Â
