Women’s Cross Country Competes At Corsair Invite

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – In their second meet of the 2019 season, the women's cross country team competed against a loaded field of top Division III New England region teams.  The Beacons would post a 36th place at the 2019 UMass Dartmouth Corsair Invitational Saturday afternoon.

36th out of 37 teams (Total Time: 2:22:525.93/Average 28:34.59)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Newcomer Reagan Czech led the Beacons with their fastest time of the afternoon as she tripped the sensor with a time of 24:51.09.  Brianna Steele (Rutland, Mass.) was right behind her teammate all afternoon and finished with a time of 24:52.44.

Siobhan Ward (Scituate, Mass.) crossed the finish line with the third fastest time for the Beacons as the Scituate native recorded a time of 27:54.84.

In her second meet ever as a Beacon, Ashley Lupo (Burlington, Mass.) finished with a time of 31:19.87, while Lindsey Desameau closed out the afternoon for the Beacons with a time of 33:54.69.

The Beacons will compete at the 51st Annual Codfish Bowl next Saturday at 12:15 pm at Franklin Park in Boston.
