Carly Mauch is in her first season with the UMass Boston track and field program.
A Division I athlete at Wake Forest University, Mauch was named an All-ACC honoree in the javelin after the 2008 outdoor season. She also qualified for the NCAA National Championship meet in 2007, 2008, and 2010. While at Wake Forest, she broke the school record in the javelin and also placed second in the event at the Penn Relays.
When not on the track, Mauch was also a standout in the classroom as she was named a USTFCCCA 2010 Division I Track and Field All-Academic honoree as well as being named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Following her graduation from Wake she earned both her bachelor’s in Elementary Education and master’s in Liberal Studies she has served as a member of Robinson Weightlifting. Currently she is a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and is a National level lifter in 75 and 75+weight class. On top of serving as a coach, Mauch is also employed at the Hockomock Area YMCA she is responsible for daily operations, supervision of staff and students and communicates daily with parents and supervisors.
