NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – All-Americans Wadeline Jonathas (Gonaives, Haiti) and Taylor Driggers (Lisbon, Conn.) combined for three first place finishes as they led the ninth-ranked women's track and field at the Smith College Pioneer Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jonathas collected first place finishes in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.26 seconds, and in the long jump with a leap of 17-11.75 feet. Driggers first place finish came in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.15. The senior also competed in the long jump and finished in third place with a final jump of 17-02.75 feet.
Lexy Bean (Danvers, Mass.) also had a tremendous showing for the Beacons as she took second in the 100 with a time of 12.89 seconds, while also placing fifth in the 200 (26.63). Annie Appolon (Everett, Mass.) earned fifth in the 100 (13.36), followed by Olivia Burnes (Paxton, Mass.) who posted a time of 13.44 and Stash Boswell who recorded a time of 13.47.
Burnes also recorded times of 27.49 (9th) seconds in the 200 and 1:03.64 (2nd) in the 400. In the high jump she finished in a tie for fourth with a height of 4-06.75 feet. Adrianna Fredo (Brockton, Mass.) finished in 14th place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:43.94, while in the 1,500 Patriciah Mulinge (Brockton, Mass.) recorded a time of 5:32.92 to earn 11th place overall.
Olivia Volante (Groton, Mass.) led the Beacons in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.965 seconds, while fellow hurdler Paulina Vo (Braintree, Mass.) finished in seventh place with a time of 1:17.33 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Thrower Samantha Myrtil (Revere, Mass.) earned a 10th place finish in the shot put with a final throw of 28-03.50 feet. She also took ninth in the discus (73-11 ft), and fifth in the javelin (93-01 ft).
The Beacons return to action next Saturday when they compete at Mount Holyoke College.
