NEW ORLEANS, La. – After another unbelievable record setting performance sophomore All-American Wadeline Jonathas (Gonaives, Haiti) earned her third-straight USTFCCCA Division III National Track Athlete of the Week honor.
Along with Jonathas' weekly honor, the women's track and field continued their climb on the national and regional rankings. The Beacons matched their program best on the national poll, as they climbed to ninth, while on the regional ranking they now sit fifth in New England.
For Jonathas, she picked-up the National, and Little East Conference weekly honors by setting the NCAA Division III record in the indoor 400-meter dash. The native of Haiti registered the first sub-54 second time in Division III history as she tripped the sensor with a time of 53.70 seconds. That time, would rank her amongst the top Division I sprinters in the country as well. To-date Jonathas now owns three NCAA Division III records (indoor & outdoor 400, outdoor 200). She also sits second all-time in the indoor-200 as well.
