NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the second straight week, sophomore sprinter Wadeline Jonathas (Gonaives, Haiti) has been named the United States Track and Field Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Track Athlete of the Week.
To go along with her fourth conference weekly honor, which she earned on Monday, Jonathas became the first athlete to earn back-to-back weekly honors.
On Saturday, Jonathas posted the second fastest time in Division III history in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.32 seconds. She would also post the best time in the 60-meter dash at the Springfield College Maroon & White Classic.
To date Jonathas leads the country in the 60-meter dash with her time of 7.61 seconds, while her time in the 200 is .28 seconds faster than Sarah King from George Fox.
