NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the first time this season, sophomore Wadeline Jonathas (Gonaives, Haiti) has been named the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III National Track Athlete of the Week.
At the Tufts University Invitational on Saturday, Jonathas recorded the two fastest times in Division III. She posted a time of 7.61 seconds in the 60-meter dash, and 24.95 seconds in the 200-meter dash to win both events. The sub-25 second performance marked the sixth time in her young career that she has achieved that mark.
