Track & Field Closes Out Day 1 of ECAC Championship

TROY, N.Y. – On the first day of the 2014 ECAC Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by RPI, the women's 4x400 meter relay posted a sixth place finish with a time of 3:54.21. 

Competing in 4x4 was Hulerie McGuffie (Lynn, Mass.), Anisha Trappier (Taunton, Mass.), Renee O'Brien (Stoneham, Mass.), and Ari Leao (New Bedford, Mass.).  Trappier was also in action on Thursday as she competed in the 100 meter dash prelims.  The sprinter finished the heat with a time of 12.33 seconds, which marked a new personal best.

The Beacons return to action tomorrow when the women's team competes in the 4x100 meter relay, the 200 meter dash, and the discus throw.  The men's team will be in action in the high jump.
