Chase Paces Men’s Cross Country At Suffolk Invite

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) posted a top-15 finish to lead the men's cross country team to a 14th place finish Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Chase crossed the finish line with a time of 27:08.10 to earn a 12th place finish overall.  The senior runner continues to produce his best season as a Beacon.  Finishing behind Chase was Prosper Lubega (Watertown, Mass.).  Lubega recorded a time of 28:57.70 to finish in 59th place.  Right behind him was Jon Symons (Northborough, Mass.) who also recorded a sub-30-minute time as he finished in 64th place with a time of 29:14.80.

Alejandro Maldonado, Jr. (Dedham, Mass.) recorded the Beacons fourth best time as he crossed the finish line with a time of 35:13.80 (141).  Anthony Lynch (Brockton, Mass.) closed out the afternoon for UMass Boston with a time of 35:30.90 to finish in 142nd place.

The Beacons will compete at the Little East Conference championship meet on November 2 at UMass Dartmouth.
