Men’s Cross Country Runs At 24th Annual James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Senior Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) led men's cross country to a 19th place finish after posting a team-best time at the 24th Annual James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State University.

19th out of 28 teams (Total Time: 2:31:52.17 / Average: 30:22.44

HOW IT HAPPENED

Chase had another team-leading day as he crossed the finish line with a time of 27:49.15 in the 8K race.  The time was the second fastest for both Chase and the Beacons this season. 

Jon Symons (Northborough, Mass.) crossed the finish line with the Beacons second fastest time as he posted a time of 28:41.24.  Prosper Lubega (Watertown, Mass.) recorded UMass Boston's third top time as he tripped the sensor with a time of 28:45.63.

Jonathan Reed (Abington, Mass.) was also in action on Saturday's meet and crossed the finish line with a time of 32:56.93.  Alejandro Maldonado, Jr. (Dedham, Mass.) posted a time of 33:39.22 to close out the afternoon for the Beacons.

The Beacons will compete at the Suffolk University Invitational next Saturday at 11 a.m. at Franklin Park.
