Michael Hulme is currently in his second season with the UMass Boston track and field teams. Hulme joins Coach Walkers staff after spending the last four seasons as the head coach at Cherry Hill Track Club in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
From 2008-2012, Hulme designed and implemented workout programs for the Cherry Hill Track Club. He was also responsible for travel arrangements and the day-to-day operations of the program. From 2008-09 he also worked as the assistant track and field coach at Cherry Hill East High School. During his time at Cherry Hill East, Hulme worked with Uchenna Njoku who won the New Jersey State Championship in the high jump.
A 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, Hulme was a 2005 and 2007 Colonial Athletic Association Conference Championship in the pole vault. In 2005 he earned Academic All-American honors recorded a personal best height of 15’11”.
Hulme currently has his USATF-Level One Track and Field Coaching Certificate and is also a Level One USA Weightlifting Performance Coach as well.
