Men’s Track and Field Competes at NCAA Regional Championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A total of seven Beacons were in action at the NCAA New England Regional Championship meet hosted by MIT Friday and Saturday at the Johnson Athletic Center.

THE BASICS

Men's – 22nd out of 23 teams (2 points)

HOW IT HAPPENED

The distance medley relay team of Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.), Jonathan Hodge (Waltham, Mass.), William Barrett (Everett, Mass.), and Jimmy Cannon (Quincy, Mass.) recorded a combined time of 11:02.25 to finish in 13th place overall. 

In the triple jump, Logan Mitchell (Franklin, Mass.) recorded a new personal best with a jump of 43-07.25 feet to finish in seventh place.  Xavier Hill (Hyde Park, Mass.) recorded a final jump of 42-02.25 feet to finish in 14th place overall.

Julian Collins (Asheville, N.C.) was the last Beacon to compete at the regional championship meet, as he posted a throw of 48-11.50 feet.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Beacons will compete at the Tufts University National Qualifying Meet next Saturday.
