Men’s 4x100-Meter Relay and Hirtle Recognized by the Little East

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – After a pair of record setting performances on Saturday, the men's 4x100-meter relay team, and sophomore thrower Jacob Hirtle (Hingham, Mass.) have been recognized by the Little East Conference.

The 4x1 team of Dom Nda (Pittsfield, Mass.), Garth Miriyoga (Johannesburg, South Africa), Bless Amedoadzi (Boston, Mass.), and Stefan Powell (Hyde Park, Mass.) broke the program record at the Bridgewater State University Invitational, with a time of 42.29 seconds. 

For Hirtle, he was named the Rookie Field Athlete of the Week, after breaking the record in the hammer throw with an impressive distance of 145-10 feet.  The original record had stood since 1998 and was set by national champion and All-American Rob Grieco.
