Nathan Stern returns for his second season as an assistant coach in 2018. Stern is charged with working on scouting reports and game plans, aiding in recruiting student-athletes and tracking student-athles academic progress.
He comes to the Beacons with a wealth of soccer experience in the Boston Area.
Since 2014, he has served as the Director of Urban Programs and the U19 NPL coach with the Valeo Futbol Club in Dorchester. In his time with the club, he has helped the inner-city program expand from four teams to 20 teams and has worked to maintain an annual budget for all the programs. As coach for the oldest boy's team in the program, he plans, organizes and executes practice and film sessions and works with the Director of Coaching to develop new recruting strategies.
Stern also served as the Co-Head Coach of the Boys Soccer Team at Jeremiah E. Burke High School for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. In his time with the Bulldogs, he led the team to back-to-back Boston City League Finals appearances and MIAA State Tournament Appearances.
Stern graduated Indiana University in 2011 with a degree in Philosophy. He earned his United States Soccer Federation D License in 2017.
