BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts Boston baseball team is partnering with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to raise money to help fund live saving childhood cancer efforts. The Beacons are hoping to reach their goal of $5,000.00 with half of those proceeds to benefit national childhood cancer research, while the other half will help kids directly at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Over the years head coach Brendan Eygabroat has been instrumental in raising money and awareness for a variety causes. Last season, he implemented the first-ever Team IMPACT Day at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, which allowed friends and families of Team IMPACT to get together for a fun filled afternoon.
